The City of Sapri is located in the south of the Campania region, on the border with Basilicata. Sapri overlooks the Tyrrhenian Sea with a beautiful bay between beaches and reefs of incomparable beauty. With its 7,000 inhabitants, it is an all-year-round residential area with beautiful hinterland with wild cliffs dropping into the blue Tyrrhenian Sea.
This charming little bay is surrounded by the mountain range protecting it from the wind. This creates a mild climate in winter whilst tempering the heat of summer with cooling breezes. The city of Sapri has ancient origins and is considered the heart of the Gulf of Policastro. It was visited by Cicerone, who called it "parva gem maris hell" a small gem of the South Sea. Sapri is best known for the tragic expedition of Carlo Pisacane and his 300 soldiers in 1857 and is mentioned in the verses of the famous Italian poem "La Spigolatrice di Sapri” written by Luigi Mercantini. This is remembered every summer with commemorative events of great cultural importance, which attract tourists from all over the Gulf of Policastro. Sapri is mostly a tourist town and with its structures and beauty it can certainly boasts its place as one of the most famous tourist centres in the whole of Campania. Sapri can be easily reached by train, by sea in summer by hydrofoil from Naples into the port at Sapri, by car exiting A3 at Lagonegro North, along the "Valle del Noce" and up the hill to Sapri. The nearest airports are: Naples 220km, Scalea 44km for private charter only and Pontecagnano 140km. In the centre of this Tyrrhenian city, 200meters from the sea and 100meters from the railway station, we are pleased to bring to the market an independent villa with large, well-kept garden, an orchard with two large stone built stores, pedestrian entrances on two sides and internal car space. The villa is spread over one floor with the possibility of installing an attic staircase already predisposed. The staircase currently leads to a storage space in the roof. The stairs to the next level would be located half way up the stairs on a small landing. The villa has an independent gas central heating, entrance hall, large dining room, large kitchen with fireplace, bathroom, bedroom, second bedroom with en suite and dressing room and is well maintained, despite its age. Covered area 138sqm + storage areas 29sqm + garden approx 850sqm Room Sizes
